How long does it take to get married in Germany? Let’s say, from the first step until the day signing the paper.

Hello there. Everyone’s case can be quite different. However, the first step you can take is to call the Standesamt nearby. They will tell you what documents you need and an appointment date to check the documents. It may take a few months until the appointment. On the day of your appointment, if everything is fine, you may choose a day for the registration within 6 months. Again, everyone’s case can be different. This is just an example.
